WHAT DOES THE SITE RESIDENCY ENABLE YOU TO DO?
»It will help me to focus on managing and organizing my work as freelance artist and leader for my company. Since I have mostly worked from home before this is a great possibility to create a platform from where I can do my administration work but also have meetings, meet other artists and get guidance.«
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT?
»Right now I am doing research and planning for projects that will have premiere during 2015/2016. I am doing a new piece for Dansstationen in Malmö for 3 female dancers. It will premiere 19 sep 2015 at Palladium. Then I am planning a premiere with my own company, READY READY that will be shown during the spring 2016 and parallel with this I will work with NORRDANS and create a new piece for them during 2016. So I am doing a lot of applications, scheduling as well as exploring and working on material.«
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO FURTHER DEVELOP DURING YOUR RESIDENCY AT SITE?
»I hope to develop my administration work and become more efficient. I wish to find a schedule and a clear base for how I can achieve my goals but also to become better at networking and asking for help. This will hopefully then get me more time to explore my artistic ideas and to develop my movement language more.«
The residency aims to enable artistic and organizational development, through free access to office space and studio time as well as counselling. Please contact Anne-Sofie Ericsson for more information.
