Daniel Staaf, årsresidenskonstnär på SITE, förbereder en fördjupad version av Fläta inför SITE/Specific Festival – med nykomponerad musik av Hara Alonso, ny ljusdesign av Thomas Zamolo och ny scenografi. I den här versionen har han kunnat kliva av scenen och arbeta med de tre internationellt erfarna dansarna Matilda Bilberg, Johannes Lind och Sarah Stanley.
Fläta framförs in-the-round, där publiken omringar dansarna från alla håll och blir en del av kulissen. I en suggestiv miljö av ljud och rörelse uppstår ett gemensamt rum – för samhörighet, närvaro och det svåra och nödvändiga i att vara tillsammans. Daniel Staaf continues to work with the piece Fläta
Daniel Staaf, annual artist in residence at SITE, is preparing an in-depth version of Fläta for SITE/Specific Festival – with newly composed music by Hara Alonso, new lighting design by Thomas Zamolo, and new scenography. In this version, he has been able to step off stage and work with the three internationally experienced dancers, Matilda Bilberg, Johannes Lind, and Sarah Stanley.
Fläta is performed in the round, with the audience surrounding the dancers from all sides and becoming part of the scenery. In an evocative environment of sound and movement, a common space arises – for togetherness, presence, and the difficult and necessary thing of being together. The work will be shown on Saturday, 13 June at 7:00 PM in the Blackbox at SITE. Limited seating. Read more here.
