I maj och juni märks vårt behov av att samlas, avsluta, fira och mötas extra tydligt. Det är helt enkelt något som behöver hållas på med nu och det märks i våra blickar och i våra kalendrar. Det är nödvändigt.
På SITE håller vi som bäst på att organisera årets festival som hålls 11–13 juni.
Festivalen har som vanligt öppet hus format – vi visar konst som görs av konstnärer som har varit knutna till SITE under året och det är självklart gratis. Vill du vara säker på att få plats, är det bra att boka i förväg, men det allra viktigaste är att du kommer och firar med oss!
Vad är det vi firar? Vi firar den gemenskap som konst och arbete genererar i sig självt. Vi firar det som sker och kommer att ske när tankar, idéer och känslor möts. Vi firar det publika mötets roll i den konstnärliga processen – och det betyder att du som kommer och upplever konsten är helt central i skapandet. Du som publik är inte processens slutpunkt; du är den som tar den vidare ut i världen. Det är något vi gör tillsammans!

Community is everything / We have released the program!
In May and June, our need to gather, conclude, celebrate, and meet is especially evident. It is just something that needs to be done now, and it is noticeable both in our eyes and in our calendars. It is necessary.
At SITE, we are in the midst of organizing this year’s festival, which will be held June 11–13.
As usual, the festival has an open house format – we show art made by artists who have been affiliated with SITE during the year, and is of course free. If you want to be sure of getting a place, it is a good idea to book in advance, but the most important thing is that you come and celebrate with us!
What are we celebrating? We celebrate the community that art and work generate in themselves. We celebrate what happens and will happen when thoughts, ideas, and feelings meet. We celebrate the role of the public meeting in the artistic process – and that means that you who come and experience the art are absolutely central to the creation. You, as the audience, are not the end point of the process; you are the one who takes it further into the world. It is something we do together!
