Residens med konstnärlig mentor hösten 2026
SITE och MARC erbjuder ett residens för en koreograf/danskonstnär baserad i Sverige som får möjlighet att utveckla sin koreografiska praktik tillsammans med en konstnärlig mentor. Residenset äger rum under 3 veckor hösten 2026. Exakta datum planeras i samråd med konstnären, mentorn, SITE och MARC.
Residenset omfattar:
Studiotid om totalt 3 veckor, varav 2 veckor på MARC i Knislinge och 1 vecka på SITE i Farsta, Stockholm.
- Möjliga tidsperioder på MARC: två veckor mellan vecka 45 och vecka 48.
På SITE: vecka 49 eller 50. - Arvode om 30 000 SEK samt kostnader för resor och boende inom Sverige till konstnären.
- Publika aktiviteter utifrån deltagande konstnärs behov och önskemål, t.ex. processvisning, konstnärssamtal, workshop.
- Rådgivning från SITE och MARC under residenset.
- Marknadsföring i SITE och MARCs nätverk.
Urval görs av SITEs Konstnärliga råd och representanter från MARC och prioriterar konstnärer som:
- Har etablerat en egen koreografisk praktik och presenterat minst ett dansverk för publik efter avslutad utbildning.
- Har ett tydligt formulerat behov av mentorskap för den egna konstnärliga utvecklingen och behov av att arbeta i dansstudio på MARC och SITE.
- Kan arbeta självständigt i studio utifrån de frågeställningar som formulerats i ansökan och tillsammans med mentorn.
Så här söker du:
Beskriv på max en (1) A4 sida din konstnärliga bakgrund och praktik samt hur du önskar arbeta med en mentor under residenset. Besvara kortfattat följande frågor:
- Hur vill du använda tiden i studio på MARC och SITE, utifrån de praktiska förutsättningar som finns på respektive plats?
- Vilka frågeställningar vill du fördjupa dig i tillsammans med din mentor?
Beskriv önskade erfarenheter och/eller specialisering du önskar att din mentor ska ha, samt om du har eventuella förslag på personer du kan tänka dig som mentor. Bifoga även ditt CV.

Om MARC:
Milvus Artistic Research Center, MARC, är ett konstnärligt forskningscentrum och plattform för dialog mellan hantverk och innovation, teori och praktik samt kreativitet och kunskap genom undersökande metodik inom dans och koreografi. Residency with an artistic mentor autumn 2026
SITE and MARC offers a residency for a choreographer/dance artist based in Sweden who will get the opportunity to develop their choreographic practice with an artistic mentor. The residency will take place during the autumn of 2024 with two weeks at MARC and one week at SITE. Exact dates will be planned in dialogue with the artist, the mentor, and the hosting organizations.
The residency offers:
- Studio time: 3 weeks in total. 2 weeks at MARC in Knislinge and 1 week at SITE in Farsta, Stockholm.
- Possible periods at MARC: two weeks between week 45 and week 48.
At SITE: week 49 or week 50. - A fee of 30 000 SEK to the participating artist and costs for travels within Sweden and accommodation.
- Public activities according to the participating artist’s needs, i.e., process showing, artist talk, workshop etc.
- Guidance and marketing in SITE and MARC’s networks.
Selection is done by SITE Artistic Advisory Group and representatives of MARC and will prioritize artists who:
- Have established their own choreographic practice and presented at least one dance work to an audience after completing their education.
- Have a clearly articulated need for mentorship in their artistic development and a need to work in a dance studio at MARC and SITE.
- Are able to work independently in the studio based on the questions formulated in the application, as well as in collaboration with the mentor.
How to apply:
Describe your artistic background and practice along with how you would like to work with a mentor. Briefly answer the following questions:
- How would you like to use your time in the studio at MARC and SITE, based on the practical conditions at each location?
- Which questions or areas of inquiry would you like to explore more deeply together with your mentor?
Describe the preferred experiences and/or special knowledge you wish for your mentor to have and present possible examples of mentors you would like to work with. The text may be maximum one (1) A4 page. Please also attach your CV.

About MARC:
Milvus Artistic Research Center (MARC) is an artistic research center and platform for dialogue between craft and innovation, theory and practice, as well as creativity and knowledge through exploratory methodologies in dance and choreography. The organization was established in 2013 as an artist-led initiative based in Kivik, in southeastern Skåne. Since January 2025, it has been located at Knislinge Folkets Park, with accommodations within walking distance of the park.
