OPEN CALL FOR SITE NORDIC RESIDENCY 2020-2021

SITE Nordic Residency offers residency periods for 2 artists or collectives from the Nordic / Baltic Region in Farsta, Stockholm, Sweden. The residency focuses specifically on artists and collectives working in the contemporary dance and performance field, who research new formats and methods in interaction with audience and local community. SITE Nordic Residency provides the artists/groups 3-4 weeks of working space with full-on support.  The two artists/groups will have an overlapping working period at SITE to meet and share their practices, in a format according to the artists/groups wishes.

The residency includes:
Free rehearsal studios and office spaces.
– Monetary production support of 10 000 EUR per group.
– Travel costs, accommodation and per-diems for a maximum of 5 persons per group.
– Facilitation of public showings, invited audience or workshop participants according to the groups wishes.
– Staff support for production and distribution advice, communication network.

About us:
SITE is a production space for contemporary performing arts, focusing on dance. Recently relocated to new premises in Farsta, outside Stockholm, we established Konstverket, a 3700 sqm interdisciplinary production house for Art. SITE works with professional emerging artists and develops projects that strengthen the field, as well as provide services such as studio, office, residencies and free guidance for young or developing performing artists to increase their skills in artistic production and management.

The artists/groups that are selected will be informed in August 2020.

The selection process will be led by SITE Artistic Board with advice from SITE Nordic/Baltic Associated partner network: Performing Arts Platform(DK), Dansverkstæðið(IS), Performing Arts Hub(NO), Arts Management Helsinki(FI), New Theatre Institute of Latvia, Plartforma Lithuania and Estonian Dance Agency

SITE Nordic Residency is an initiative from SITE and the foundation for a new Nordic Residency Center at Konstverket in Farsta.

SITE Nordic Residency started in 2018 and with support from Nordic Culture Point and The City of Stockholm we were able to welcome 3 artist groups: Mia Habib and Jassem Hindi from Norway, W A U H A U S from Finland and Together Alone from Sweden with international guests.
