Hybrid is a performance musical that explores a dysphoria, not only in relation to gender but to the entire human identity.
In this process presentation, Mille Bostedt who is writing and directing the musical, will perform the whale hybrid’s ballad and share parts of the process of transforming into mycelium.
The musical will premiere in September 2025 at Konträr with four actors.

Mille Bostedt is a multidisciplinary artist working as a freelance actor, screenwriter, director (and silicone sculptor). They enjoy challenging anthropocentric and binary thinking, weaving together the human and the non-human.
Mille is trained as an actor at Stockholm University of the Arts and has studied screenwriting at Alma Education. Their previous work God Created Man and I Created the Cock has toured across Sweden and Finland, including performances at Turteatern and Folkteatern in Gothenburg. Since 2017, they have performed and exhibited their performance concept Progressive Genitalia—a futuristic company that designs and creates your dream genitals using biotechnology—in cities such as Chicago, Tokyo, and London.
