NB8 Nordic Baltic Eight Circle – Nordiskt mentorprogram för producenter
NB8 Circle är ett mentorprogram och nätverk för frilansande producenter som bygger på erfarenheter från Nordic Circle Mentorship Program 2016-18, där SITE var projektledare. Programmets mål är att stärka infrastrukturen för produktion, projektledning och distribution av samtida dans i Norden och Baltikum samt att stödja den fria danssektorns återstart efter Covid-19. Hösten 2021 startar NB8 en ny omgång av det mycket uppskattade mentorprogrammet med två faser om ett år vardera.
Platserna kommer att utlysas genom alla projektets partners för att nå potentiella deltagare från alla nordiska och baltiska länder. 8 adepter antas i varje fas och matchas med en mentor från ett annat nordiskt land under ett år. Mentorer och adepter träffas individuellt och i grupp. Inom programmet arrangeras även regionala och nationella träffar, för att maximera nätverksbyggande och ge en större del av fältet access till programmet och kunskapsutbyte.
NB8 Circle är ett samarbete mellan scenkonstverksamheter från fem nordiska länder, med sex ytterligare partnerorganisationer från Baltikum och övriga Norden. Mentorprogrammet har stöd från Nordisk Kulturkontakt och samtliga huvudpartners söker kompletterande stöd från Art Council i respektive land.

NB8 Nordic Circle Mentoring Program is a capacity-building mentorship program and network for freelance dance producers. The aim is to strengthen the infrastructure for management, production, and distribution of contemporary dance in the Nordic and Baltic region, and to help the freelance dance sector to recover from covid-19. NB8 Circle is a joint initiative of contemporary dance organizations in 5 Nordic countries, with 6 associate partners in the Baltic countries and other Nordic regions.
In 2022-23, NB8 Circle will carry out a mentoring program for dance producers and managers, with two mentoring cycles of one year each. An open call for mentees will be held in all Nordic and Baltic countries, starting in autumn 2021.
For each mentoring program cycle, 8 mentees will be selected through the open call. They will be matched with an experienced mentor from another country, for the duration of one year. The group of mentees and mentors will become an invaluable peer network across the Nordic borders.
