Open Call: Residens med konstnärlig mentor hösten 2023
SITE och MARC erbjuder ett residens för en etablerad koreograf/danskonstnär baserad i Sverige som får möjlighet att utveckla sin koreografiska praktik tillsammans med en konstnärlig mentor. Residenset äger rum hösten 2023 med två veckors arbete på respektive plats. Exakta datum planeras i samråd med konstnären, mentorn och värdorganisationerna.
Residenset omfattar:
- Studiotid om totalt 4 veckor, varav 2 på SITE i Farsta, Stockholm, och 2 på MARC i Knislinge.
- Möjliga tidsperioder SITE: vecka 35 – 37, MARC: vecka 44 – 47.
- Arvode om 40 000 SEK till den deltagande konstnären och 30 000 SEK till den deltagande mentorn, samt kostnader för resor och boende för konstnär och mentor.
- Publika aktiviteter utifrån deltagande konstnärs behov, t.ex. processvisning, konstnärssamtal, workshop.
- Rådgivning och marknadsföring i SITE och MARCs nätverk.
Urval görs av SITEs Konstnärliga råd och representanter från MARC och prioriterar konstnärer som:
- Har etablerat en egen konstnärlig praktik sedan minst 10 år tillbaka och önskar arbeta i dialog med en mentor.
- Kan formulera sitt behov av mentorskap och vad hen önskar uppnå genom att arbeta med en mentor.
Så här söker du:
Beskriv din konstnärliga bakgrund och praktik samt hur du önskar arbeta med en mentor. Beskriv önskade erfarenheter och/eller specialisering du önskar att din mentor ska ha, samt konkreta förslag på personer du kan tänka dig som mentor.
Texten får vara max en (1) A4 sida.

Om MARC:
Milvus Artistic Research Center, MARC, är ett konstnärligt forskningscentrum och plattform för dialog mellan hantverk och innovation, teori och praktik samt kreativitet och kunskap genom undersökande metodik inom dans och koreografi. Organisationen etablerades 2013 som en konstnärsledd organisation baserad i Kivik, sydöstra Skåne. Studion/scenen vid MARC är avsedd som en samlingspunkt för kreativt skapande och delande av kunskap inom dans och koreografi.
Open Call: Residency with an artistic mentor autumn 2023
SITE and MARC offers a residency for an established choreographer/dance artist based in Sweden who will get the opportunity to develop their choreographic practice with an artistic mentor. The residency will take place during the autumn of 2023 with two weeks of work at each place. Exact dates will be planned in dialogue with the artist, the mentor, and the hosting organizations.
The residency offers you:
- Studio time: 4 weeks in total, 2 weeks at SITE in Farsta, Stockholm, and 2 weeks at MARC in Knislinge.
- Possible periods SITE: week 35 – 37, MARC: week 44 – 47.
- A fee of 40 000 SEK to the participating artist and 30 000 SEK to the participating mentor, together with travel and accommodation costs for one artist and mentor.
- Public activities according to the participating artist’s needs, i.e., process showing, artist talk, workshop etc.
- Guidance and marketing in SITE and MARC’s networks.
Selection is done by SITE Artistic Advisory Group and representatives of MARC and will prioritize artists who:
- Have established an artistic practice since at least 10 years and would like to work in dialogue with a mentor.
- Is able to formulate their need of mentorship and what they wish to accomplish by working with a mentor.
How to apply:
Describe your artistic background and practice along with how you would like to work with a mentor. Describe the preferred experiences and/or special knowledge you wish for your mentor to have and give concrete examples of mentors you would like to work with.
The text may be maximum one (1) A4 page.

About MARC
As a research center Milvus Artistic Research Center (MARC) fosters a dialogue between craft and innovation, theory and practice, and creativity and knowledge through investigation in the field of performance. MARC was established in 2013 and invites artists throughout the year to participate in up to one-month artistic residencies at the center. In a former shoe factory in Knislinge, MARC offers an environment for artistic research outside the usual context of the big city. Through the residency program MARC provides a platform where performance practices, working modes, and methodologies are questioned and new work is created and shared between artists and audience.
