Sök residens på SITE för samtida cirkus 2021!

SITE residens för samtida cirkus är ett pilotprojekt som ska etablera en ny plats för produktion och visning av samtida cirkus. Ni som medverkande kommer att gå in i en läroprocess tillsammans med SITE där vi bl.a. inventerar behov av installationer av fästpunkter och övrig utrustning i Blackbox, säkerhetsrutiner och specifika behov för att erbjuda samtida cirkus de bästa möjligheterna för konstnärligt utvecklingsarbete på SITE i framtiden.
Residenset omfattar 3 veckors arbetstid i SITE Blackbox, tillgång till kontorsplats, mötesrum och rådgivning, kontakt med referensgrupper och provpublik samt genomförande av 2-3 publika visningar enligt era önskemål. Ni kan söka residenset för en förstudie, utvecklingsarbete, repetitionsperiod eller produktion – det spelar alltså ingen roll var ni är i processen, men ni bör ha tid och utrymme för att samverka med SITE under residensperioden.
SITE förväntar sig att ni deltar i förberedelser inför residenset genom ett antal möten rörande teknik, säkerhet och arbetsmiljö samt en efterföljande utvärdering.
Residenset innehåller:
- Arbetsplats i form av tid i Blackbox, 3 veckor på SITE
- Publika aktiviteter utefter era önskemål, 2-3 händelser.
- Produktionsmedel om 50 000 SEK
- Tillgång till kontor, mötesrum och rådgivning från SITE under hela förberedelse- och residensperioden.
Tidplan för pilotresidenset 2020-21:
November 2020: besked om beviljat residens till utvald grupp/konstnärer senast 30 nov.
December 2020 – Januari 2021: Förberedelser och projektering av installationer.
Januari – Mars 2021: möjlig residensperiod, 3 veckor sammanhängande eller uppdelat.

Open call:
SITE RESIDENCY FOR CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS 2021

SITE Residency for Contemporary Circus is a pilot project that aims to establish a new space for production and showings of contemporary circus in Stockholm. During the residency the participating artists will join SITE in a learning process. Together we will define the necessary technical installations, security routines and specific needs of circus artists, to be able to offer suitable conditions for artistic development for the circus field at SITE in the future.
The residency offers 3 weeks in SITE Blackbox, office space and meeting rooms, general staff support/advice, contact with reference groups and test audience as well as 2-3 public events according to your wishes as artists. You can apply for the residency with preparatory work for a future project, rehearsals or production period – it doesn´t matter where you are in your artistic process, but it is necessary that you are willing to invest some time to collaborate with SITE in the planning and residency process.
SITE expects you to participate in a few meetings about preparations, security and working conditions as well as a final evaluation.
The residency includes:
- Working space in SITE Blackbox, 3 weeks
- Facilitation of public showings, invited audience or workshop participants according to the groups wishes, 2-3 events
- Monetary production support of 50 000 SEK
- Office space, meeting rooms and SITE staff support for production and distribution advice during the whole preparation and residency period.
Time plan:
November 2020: decisions from application process to the selected group before Nov 30th.
December 2020 – January 2021: Preparations and technical installations.
January – March 2021: Possible residency period in SITE Blackbox, 3 weeks in a row or split time.

SITE is a production space for contemporary performing arts, focusing on dance.
