SITE Nordic-Baltic Residency 2025
In 2025 SITE will invite two groups of artists working in the contemporary dance and performance field from the Nordic and Baltic countries for a 3 week residency in Farsta, Stockholm.
This residency welcomes groups consisting of 3-5 performing artists with an interdisciplinary approach who has a need to work in a studio and black box and wants to engage with the local community in Stockholm.
You are expected to present your work during the residency. This could be in the form of a work in progress-showing, an open rehearsal, a workshop, talk etc.
Within this residency we encourage artists to slow travel whenever possible.
The residency includes
- A production grant of 7 000 €.
- Per diems of 40 € per person, per day.
- Accommodation in Stockholm during the residency. The accommodation is to be determined in dialogue with the selected artists and SITE.
- Slow travel to and from Stockholm from within the Nordic and Baltic countries.
- The residency includes 2 weeks access to one of SITE’s studios and one week access to SITE’s Black box. Further information about out studios and black box can be found here.
- Production support from SITE staff.
General conditions
Only applicants based in the Nordic and Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Åland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands) are eligible to apply.
The working group should consist of 3-5 artists and have at least 3 years documented experience of working together. Formal education is not required.
The working group should have an interdisciplinary approach to their work.
In this residency we will prioritize applicants who have not yet presented their work in the Stockholm region.
We encourage artists from all ages and backgrounds to apply.
Residency periods
Either February 17, 2025 – March 9, 2025 or
October 27, 2025 – November 16, 2025
Please specify in your application if both periods are of interest, or if you’re only interested in one of the periods.
Application guidelines
The application is open from September 2 – September 30, 16:00 CET.
Your application should include:
- CV’s of all participating artists. Maximum 1 A4 per artist.
- A project description of maximum 2 A4 in which you describe how you plan to work during the residency.
- 1-3 work samples. If you want to include video documentation of your work, please provide a Vimeo or YouTube link.

Selection process
Selection to this residency is done by SITE Artistic Advisory Board and will prioritize groups who:
- Have an interdisciplinary approach to their work.
- Have not yet presented their work in the Stockholm region.
- Have a clear plan on how they would like to engage with a local community.

About SITE
SITE is a production house for contemporary performing arts, focusing on dance. Together with Konstnärernas Kollektivverkstad, KKV, we established Konstverket, a 3700 sqm interdisciplinary production house for Arts production in Farsta, Stockholm. SITE works with professional emerging artists and develops projects that strengthen the field, as well as provide services such as studio, office and residencies for young or developing performing artists to increase their skills in artistic production and management.
